print and print and print

Leopard print, Sanskrit writing and illustration print, and a tribal print all in black and white blend together nicely. With wooden shoes, shell bracelet and Thai coins on my bag it gets tied together in a boho, earthy, world culture way. Love this bag mostly because it helps support the tribal women who made it. Yay JADEtribe for having an ethically conscious mission! Speaking of which, I have recently discovered www.hearts.com a whole site of recycled/sustainable/ethically conscious and also super chic fashion.

Today's list: Tart leopard print maxi dress, BR wooden wedges, BR cardi, JADEtribe bag, Elizabeth and James shades, random scarf

retro brights

It was finally warm enough today to wear some punchy colors. This combo of red, coral, tan, beige, and dark blue especially with the chevron pattern looks very retro so of course the giant round 70s inspired glasses came out today too. My hair at the moment is Ultra Violet from Manic Panic.

Today's list: Splendid red maxi dress, DVF long cardigan, Donald J. Pliner cork sandals, Prada bag and shades.

Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose review

I was very excited to try this since Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb has been my favorite perfume for years. Now that everyone's caught onto it I wanted something new and unfortunately this is online only so I ordered it without smelling it first. I figured if it was like Flowerbomb is was a pretty safe purchase. This new 2013 version, Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose was too different from the sweet floriental I love. The citrus was overwhelming for me and it actually gave me a headache. It does dry down to a brighter, more spicy version of flowerbomb. I think if you like citrus scents this might be perfect for you. I'll stick to the original.

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick Review

This gloss stick from Soap & Glory is my new favorite lip balm/gloss. I had been eyeing this brand since it first showed up at Sephora. I really like the packaging and the irreverent product names are kinda cute. This gloss stick is my first from this brand but I will be definitely trying more from them.

I like this lip crayon better than the other two I've tried. The Clinique Chubby Stick, which for me was just the teeniest bit gritty, was not as shiny as this, has no flavor and feels more like a lip balm. Tarte's LipSurgences usually leave a tint which is nice but they are not very glossy, they go on more like a lipstick, and they are minty flavored, which is not my preference but not offensive either. This one from Soap & Glory has a super sweet vanilla flavor (I am a sucker for anything vanilla). It doesn't last long but its nice nonetheless. It feels more tacky like a gloss than the others. I got it in nudist and it is a nice pinky natural nude tone. Highly recommend these and can't wait to get the other 2 colors. Buy from Sephora for $16 here

custom clothes

I have been looking at new ways to sell my artwork and also get my name out there more. The most fun is probably combining art and fashion (YAY!) by making custom clothing. I have seen many artists selling their work on clothes on etsy or their own sites as a supplement to their art work which often doesn't rake in much money unless you get crazy famous. There are a ton of ways to make custom clothing like through threadless.com or society6.com which you submit work and they handle everything else as orders come in. There are also companies that allow you to make clothing for independent sale like customink.com or customplanet.co.uk/

Now the hardest part for me would be deciding which work would be most likely to sell and which art fairs, websites, etc. they would best sell...
I think one of my paintings like this would be my first shot, maybe. I would wear it, would you?
